Cancellation Policy for Tours

Customer Cancellations:

  • To receive a full refund, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your tour.
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled tour are not eligible for a refund.
  • If you do not show up and do not contact us, a refund cannot be issued. Our team will attempt to reach you at the time of the tour if you’re a no-show.

Guide Cancellations:

  • Guides may cancel tours based on morning water inspections to ensure your safety and enjoyment.
  • Our guides check water conditions daily to assess whether it is safe and suitable for tours.
  • If conditions are deemed unsafe, cancellation messages will be sent to guests via text up to 1 hour before the tour start time.
  • If a guide has to cancel after the 1-hour mark, they will meet customers at the shop to confirm the cancellation in person.

Rebooking and Refunds:

  • If your tour is canceled by the guide, you can choose to rebook for a later date or request a full refund.
  • We will make every effort to accommodate your preferred rescheduling date, subject to availability.
  • Refunds for canceled tours will be processed promptly. Please note that third-party bookings may have different policies.

Acceptable Water Condition Parameters

Snorkeling Tours:

  • Entry must be easily accessible for all participants.
  • Waves should be manageable or small enough for safe swimming.
  • Minimum visibility of 10 feet underwater is required for a rewarding snorkeling experience.

Discover Scuba Diving:

  • Conditions should be calm, clear, and deep enough to resemble pool-like settings (PADI Standard).
  • Water clarity must allow for clear visibility of training exercises and equipment.

Student Open Water Training Dives:

  • Safe entry and exit points must be available for all participants.
  • Currents and waves should be manageable to ensure student safety and learning.
  • Visibility must be sufficient for direct supervision and communication between instructors and students.

Certified Divers:

  • Safe entry and exit points should be accessible for all certified divers.
  • Waves and currents must be manageable and appropriate for divers’ experience and fitness levels (a pre-dive interview may be necessary).
  • Water conditions must be suitable for the planned dive site and dive profile.

Final Decision and Justification:

  • The final decision regarding tour cancellations due to water conditions is made by the dive professional leading the tour.
  • If the dive professional determines that the water conditions pose a safety risk, the tour will be canceled.
  • Dive professionals will justify their decisions based on observed water conditions and potential risks.
  • Your safety is our top priority, and decisions regarding tour cancellations will always reflect this principle.
