  • Bring a friend that you trust with a KNIFE, and that you trust with your LIFE for this Halloween adventure! Only ONE of these BOOtiful creations will win the prize!
  • PUMPKINS must be RESERVED by October 22st or you can B.Y.O.P! …(bring your own pumpkin!) Each team needs one pumpkin.
  • COST- If you need a pumpkin, you pay for your pumpkin! Pumpkin prices: TBA . Otherwise, there is no cost for this event. Bring your gear and meet us on the beach! – TANKS INCLUDED if you need one! Stop by the shop to get your tank before the event.
  • Dress to impress. Costumes encouraged! Please keep your costumes diver and eco friendly!

HOW TO SIGN UP:

  • ATTACH a PHOTO of your CERTIFICATIONS. If you don’t send your cert, you can not participate!

THE RULES:

Everyone will have 20 minutes to sketch out their pumpkin design before entering the water.

Once you descend, you and your partner will have 45 minutes to complete your pumpkin. You may decorate your pumpkin only with things you find IN THE WATER! Once you emerge from the depths, like zombies from a grave, the judging begins!

*Feel free to bring another tank or finish off your tanks by diving the STUNNING Tres Palmas Reserve right next to where you will be carving your pumpkin

*Light snacks and beverages will be available to all participants

*Black Eagle Beach is also known as the ‘Marina’ in Rincon, PR. See you there!

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 1 PM

The Emergency First Response® Course teaches you what to do in the critical moments between when a life-threatening emergency occurs and when emergency medical services arrive.

Learn how to perform CPR, provide first aid that eases pain, assess a variety of injuries and illnesses, and practice bandaging and splinting.

This course is FREE to sit in on!
If you want your PADI EFR certification card, that will be your only expense.

Learning basic First Aid and CPR can save a life. We hope to see you there!

Whether you are a certified scuba diver, free diver, or mermaid THIS CLASS IS FOR YOU!
Join us as we dive into one of the largest underwater databases in the world! Learn how to safely remove debris and then how to input your data into the system for the world to observe.
This is a FREE CLASS! If you want your certification card, that will be your only expense

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum certification: PADI Junior Open Water Diver (or equivalent), PADI Freediver, and PADI Advanced Mermaid
  • Minimum age requirement: 10 years old
  • Dive Against Debris Specialty Certification
  • As a one-dive specialty, the Dive Against Debris course counts as an adventure dive in the PADI Advanced Open Water Course.

DIVE AGAINST DEBRIS!
A Dive Against Debris Diver takes direct ‘fins on’ action for the ocean, collecting critical survey data from any or every dive that can be used by marine researchers and policymakers for conservation efforts.

~Bring your family and friends to JOIN US for our monthly BEACH CLEAN-UP & MERMAID APPEARANCE!

9 AM – 10 AM – CLEAN~UP
10 AM – 11 AM – MERMAID (Photo-ops, Q&A, swimming with a mermaid in the shallows)

LOCATION: Will change month to month, depending on what beach needs it the most. Go to the event discussion page on Facebook or call the shop to find the location announcement!
INCLUDED: Bags, gloves, trash pickers, water refills (no bottles will be provided), trash collection & disposal, mermaid entertainment
NOT INCLUDED: Reef~SAFE Sunscreen

‘What fish is that?’
Join Rincon Diving for a REEF Fish Identification Class!
This FREE class includes instruction on how to complete a REEF survey followed by basic coral reef ecology, fish biology, identification tips, and common characteristics of different fish families found in the Caribbean!
The ocean is the last frontier and YOU can help us get a better understanding of our fishy friends!

The Project AWARE course is an introduction to the global AWARE movement for ocean protection. It focuses and expands on the 10 Tips for Divers to Protect the Ocean Planet. Through interactive discussions, you’ll learn how you can make a difference for ocean protection every time you dive or travel.

This is a GREAT opportunity to get together with like-minded, ocean-loving members of your community.
ALL ARE WELCOME! This course is for ocean enthusiasts, diver or not! Come and learn a thing or two about ocean preservation.

Stony Coral Tissue Loss Disease (SCTLD) is creeping its way around Puerto Rico. Let’s find out if there is anything we can do to help!

We will learn about SCTLD from a representative of Isla Mar Research before heading to Tres Palmas Marine Reserve to see how our precious reef is holding up.
