- Deposit must be paid via Venmo, Paypal, or ATH Movil. Once paid, you will soon receive an email with your PADI eLearning materials!
- Ages 12+
- This course takes place in water that is 30 feet deep
- It is important to drink plenty of water before arrival for hydration.
- Apply ocean-friendly/reef-safe sunscreen before arrival so it soaks into you and not the precious ocean. Ocean-friendly sunscreen is available for purchase at the dive center.
What You’ll See & Do
The mermaid life will be yours for the swimming with a PADI Advanced Mermaid certification! Whether you’re looking for a mer-career or mermaid fun, this course will help you get there safely!
There are four phases to the certification:
1. Knowledge Development- PADI eLearning
2. On land~ knowledge review and proper human to mermaid warm-ups
3. Two Confined Water Skill sessions
4. Two Open Water skill sessions
Your course will start with a briefing from professional PADI Mermaid instructors. They will teach you about the essential mermaid equipment and how to use it followed by a mind and body calming warm-up stretching session and a breath-hold procedure review.
Next, we’ll head to the water for your confined water skills session. Your instructors will be guiding you the whole way through and checking that you feel confident to proceed. This is where you will practice your safe mermaiding procedures and mermaiding skills.
For the rest of the course, you will be in open water in the ocean (at most 30 feet deep) where you will fin-tune your skills and demonstrate your mastery.
Once you have passed the course, you will receive your PADI Advanced Mermaid certification! What’s next, mermaid? The world is your oyster! There are many paths mermaids can take nowadays to ensure a fin-tastic future for themselves.

Bring your own camera and our instructor will take a couple of photos of you in your tail.
Students must be comfortable in deep water.
No mermaid experience is necessary to take this course.
Basic Mermaid Course: Ages 6+ / Mermaid Course: Ages 10+ / Advanced Mermaid: Ages 12+.
